Manager of Compliance
DescriptionIn collaboration with the Office of General Counsel, The Office of Assessment, and partnership legal/partnership offices, draft, prepare, respond to, and evaluate contracts and memorandum of understanding for the Provost’s signature. Manage record-keeping and contract related correspondence. Track all contracts and Memorandum of Understanding to full execution. Monitor compliance with current program course scheduling. Oversee the Towson Learning Network University Centers at the Universities at Shady Grove and the University System of Maryland in Southern Maryland through supervision, electronic support, and face-to-face interaction of the Site Coordinators. Facilitate positive communication between on-campus faculty and staff and the Site Coordinators. Working with the TLN Coordinator of Operations, Department Chairs/Graduate Program Directors, implement the most efficient and effective protocols for managing contractual partnerships, including the initial Course Term file process meetings each semester, documenting all details necessary for the Academic Program Specialists to enter information in the TLN data bases necessary for the application/registration process, and verifying accuracy and compliance with policies and standards. Oversee and maintain the TLN online presence, including the TLN website and social media. Advise the TLN Executive Director on programmatic needs and issues for new and existing programs and identify and solve compliance issues related to USM policies and accreditation standards. Work collaboratively with the Towson Learning Network’s Coordinator of Operations on recruitment initiatives and represent TLN at face-to-face and virtual recruitment meetings in order to guide potential students to resources.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and five years of administrative/supervisory experience in higher education or public schools. Development and maintenance of web and cloud based data bases. Knowledge of contractual protocols and language, and the ability to move the process to full execution. Ability to interact with public school officials. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organization and prioritization of multiple complex tasks. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office. Advanced EXCEL proficiency. Comfortable and confident in learning and using current new technologies.
Preferred:Record of developing and maintaining internal and external higher education relationships. Experience supervising off-site staff.
