Description: Full time 12-month faculty position in the Department of Psychology with Program Director responsibilities.

The Department of Psychology seeks a full-time faculty person with specialization in children and youth mental health. All applicants must hold licensure as a mental health provider (Psychologist, LPCC, MFT) and clinical supervisor qualifications (minimum of 2 years of licensure). The MS of Counseling Psychology faculty are primarily responsible for teaching course in the area of Counseling psychology, mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates seeking are also expected to maintain an active research/scholarship program. Program directors report to the Department Chair and are responsible for the overall direction and administration of their assigned graduate program, including: admissions, recruitment, and student services in the MS in Counseling Psychology program.a Counseling psychology faculty are fully integrated with the department of psychology faculty, and carry faculty responsibilities as a member of the department.



Specialization: Licensure and clinical supervisor qualifications (minimum of 2 years licensure) in mental health field. Registered Play Therapist prefered. Evidence of clinical specialization in children and youth services.

Responsibilities:

    Teaching, mentoring, research/scholarship, university community service.Direct and growth the MS in Counseling Psychology graduate program.Participate as a full and integral member of the department of psychology faculty.Other duties, as assigned by the Chair. May be needed to work at alternative Regional Campuses or Sites.

Level: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

Qualifications: Licensure and clinical supervisor qualifications (minimum of 2 years licensure) in mental health field. Evidence of clinical specialization in children and youth services. Registered Play Therapist preferred. Previous program administration and leadership experience desired.

Experience: Demonstrated breadth and depth of experience in Children’s mental health services and a strong Christian commitment are required. Previous experience and demonstrated excellence in university teaching and service to a university is desirable. Candidates seeking appointment at Associate or Full professor level must demonstrate evidence of scholarly research and publications in their field.

Workload: Full-time position. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the department of psychology, mentor and advise students, conduct research and/or clinical services, and participate in university service and leadership.
