The University of Virginia School Of Nursing seeks an experience clinical instructor with a background in obstetrics nursing for a part time, tenure-ineligible clinical instructor. The start date of this position is January, 2020.

Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing, with two years of previous experience in obstetrics. Candidate must be eligible for Licensure in Virginia and will be required to obtain a license by the start date of the position . Preference will be given to applicants with a DNP or PhD in Nursing. Applicants with an obstetrics/maternal-child health certification are strongly encourage to apply. Five or more years of teaching or mentoring in a obstetrics/maternal-child health higher education setting is strongly preferred.

Duties include: Supervising pre-licensure nursing students in a clinical setting (practicum/seminar).

This is a part time 20 hour per week, 9-month term limited three year appointment.

An official offer of employment is contingent on a successful background check and completion of a medical screening as set by the University of Virginia Health System.
