The Department of Engineering and Technology seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time adjunct faculty appointments in Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Technology Management.

Successful applicants will teach up to nine semester credit hours within the required discipline on campus in Commerce, Texas or in an online format as dictated by student demand, hold office hours, and assist students as needed. Areas of teaching assignments vary, depending on the departmental needs.

Required Education

An earned doctorate of master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field from an ABET accredited U.S. institution of higher learning with a major field of study in construction engineering, civil engineering, construction management, industrial engineering, systems engineering, engineering management, technology management, or a closely related discipline.

Requires the ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education

Preference will be given to candidates who:

Hold current relevant professional credentials.

College or university teaching experience.

Evidence of teaching excellence.

Prior relevant industry experience.

Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
