DescriptionJob Purpose: Lead and provide maintenance services for campus athleticfields.

 Major Responsibilities:

Lead in and perform high quality maintenance of campus athletic fields.

Conduct regular field preparation and safety inspections.

Operate and perform routine maintenance of equipment as necessary to complete assignments.

Perform trash, leaves and debris removal of campus athletic fields.

Apply appropriate chemicals necessary to maintain campus athletic fields.

Coordinate appropriate materials and supplies as necessary.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma

Work Experience: Three to four years job related experience

Certifications: Valid Driver's License, Georgia Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License in Turf and Ornamental Category 24

Skills: Extensive knowledge of all aspects of athletic field turf maintenance, experience operating multi-gang reel mowers, ability to accurately discern colors, communicate and interact effectively.

Additional Information: The work environment involves physical risks that requirefollowing basic safety precautions. This position may be exposed to weatherconditions and hazardous materials. Must have the ability to lift, tub, pulland transport small and heavy equipment and materials without assistance
