Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing Communication, and in collaboration with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Director of Enrollment Marketing leads the direction and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives as they pertain to enrollment in all university undergraduate programs. Manage marketing strategies and campaigns that yield a quantifiable and significant return on marketing investments across the spectrum of channels. Positively impact the fiscal performance of the programs and the quality of relationships with internal and external constituents who serve as collaborative partners.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Conceive, plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive and multi-channeled marketing and communications strategy with the goal of increasing student enrollments and revenue in a self-supporting environment and positively shaping the university’s identity, profile and visibility within the community. Increase inquiries and enrollments by prospective and current students while decreasing cost per inquiry. Lead and implement brand strategy development, research, copywriting, interpersonal collaboration, project management, analysis, and staff/vendor management. Generate effective unique positioning for existing programs and those targeted for launch. Communicate brand promise and attributes that are unique and important to the target audience for each program presented to the marketplace, developing compelling messaging campaigns, and steward the campaign process with all stakeholders. Assist the Vice President of Marketing Communications in directing and managing outside vendors with enrollment marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. At least 5 years of experience developing marketing strategy, including research, messaging, positioning, copy, and campaigns. Higher education experience is preferred. Strong strategic thinking and creative skills. Ability to work at management level, but willingness and acumen to perform hands-on tasks. Working knowledge of project management fundamentals. Budgetary and financial experience, preferably in a higher education setting. Understanding of the administrative functions, academic programs and requirements of a university. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in order to meet project deadlines. Must be able to work with all required technologies and tools.
