The University of North Georgia (UNG) is currently accepting applications for a Lecturer position in the Department of Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) with a focus on American politics and a background in public administration. The successful candidate will teach in multiple formats but their primary teaching responsibility will be face to face on the Oconee Campus with possible online teaching in the MPA program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Teaching 15 semester hours per semester (5/5) including core classes for the department. Courses will include: American Government, and others depending on departmental needs. Additionally, candidates must be qualified to teach classes in the MPA program.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science, public administration or policy, or related field.

He/she must have a successful teaching background and must submit teaching evaluations.

Preference will be given to those candidates who:

1) Have experience teaching American government.

2) A willingness to engage in on-line instruction

3) Basis and teaching experience within graduate level public administration courses
