CLINICAL ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF HUMAN CAPITAL ANALYTICS AND TECHNOLOGY (HCAT)

The Human Capital Management Program in the Division of Programs in Business at NYU’s School of Professional Studies is looking to fill a full-time renewable clinical faculty position for the 2019-2020 Academic Year, effective spring 2020.

NYU’s newly launched M.S. in Human Capital Analytics and Technology (HCAT) prepares students for a successful career in the field of people analytics, technology, business strategy and workforce planning. The program provides a strong curricular foundation designed to anticipate and address the needs of leaders, teams and organizations in the 21century markets. Upon graduation, students are able to examine, evaluate, and implement solutions using analytical methods and technology, but also to persuasively communicate with the broad array of stakeholder audiences.

Job Description
This full-time position is a clinical, one-year renewable faculty appointment. The rank of the position will be determined dependent on candidate’s experience and qualifications.

A successful candidate will work closely with the Academic Director to develop and deliver impactful and engaging course work and program materials in the people analytics domain. Additionally, a successful candidate will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Advance thought leadership through applied industry research
  • Build industry relationships and partnerships to enhance the program’s connection to the workplace
  • Support the growth and development of adjunct faculty base
  • Contribute collaboratively to the advancement of the Division’s, Schools and NYU’s mission and strategy

Along with direct teaching responsibilities, a successful candidate will be expected to act as an advocate for the program, assisting at orientation and information events, serving on committees, advising students, and building relationships and programs within NYU SPS and within NYU.

Qualifications
A PhD, or equivalent degree, in I/O Psychology, Human Resources Management or a related discipline is preferred, with a minimum degree of MBA, M.S. or other related Master’s program, plus 8-10 years working experience.

The ideal candidate will be able to lead in the creation of intellectual capital around topic areas directly relevant to Human Capital Analytics and Technology practitioners, which could be applied through classroom teaching, publication in business or academic journals, industry conferences and partnerships. Experience and research in the areas of Strategic Human Capital Management, Talent Assessment, People Analytics and Technology, would be desirable, as would be experience in curriculum, course, and program development.
