The Department of Mathematics at Rider University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin fall 2020.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a passion for the undergraduate experience and a commitment to excellence in their teaching and research. Applicants who can bring their enthusiasm for mathematics into courses for majors and non-majors, as well as introductory and upper-level courses are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities for this position will include teaching nine credit hours per semester, engaging in scholarship leading to peer-reviewed publications, participating in departmental and university committees, advising students, contributing to student recruitment and retention, mentoring undergraduate research projects and participating in curriculum review and development.
A Ph.D. in Mathematics is required. Individuals with post-doctoral and college-level teaching experience are preferred.
