Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, this position will analyze, communicate, and organize to create and maintain the career pathing structure, performance evaluation tools, and analytics aspects of human resources data for the Division of Development & Alumni Relations (DAR). This position will work independently and confidentially, as well as adhering to deadlines, and i’ts preferred to have knowledge of UGA policies and procedures related to human resources.

Staff Competency Modeling
Develop, implement, and maintain a staff competency model for the Division to assist DAR Talent Management with career pathing guidance and DAR HR with salary analysis. This includes working with managers in establishing and recommending updates to working titles, salary ranges, competency requirements, and minimum qualifications for each career path and ensuring each path includes UGA and Division standards.

Develop, implement and maintain salary analysis and comparison within the Division, the University and external job markets to track salary competitiveness to assist with recruiting and retaining highly effective staff, as well as developing and maintaining a process to track experience and pay for new employees to assist with equity analysis for new hires.

Percentage of time35 Duties/Responsibilities


HR Efficiencies and Evaluation Tools
Develop, implement and maintain a performance evaluation tool and procedure that includes UGA standards and the Division values and measurable goals. Ensure the goals are measured/weighted against individual job responsibilities, functional competencies, and behavioral competencies.

Provide guidance and training to DAR supervisors regarding the evaluation tool.

Ensure each employee receives an annual evaluation and report to leadership the status of completion status and ratings. Provide analysis to ensure job responsibilities are allocated to the appropriate employee and identify areas reported where employees may need to improve skills to make recommendations for efficiencies and assist DAR Talent Management with professional development plans.

Provide analysis and support to DAR Talent Management to assist with the tracking of measurable goal accomplishments.

HR Analytics and Statistics
Create and maintain quantitative HR data to assist DAR Talent Management and HR with culture, diversity, retention, and employee experience analysis.

Responsible for participation in presentations and information sessions related to human resources that are facilitated or directed by UGA representatives.

Assists Senior Director with special projects.

Attend HR conferences and seminars to enhance education and expertise of HR topics.

Cross train and provide backup assistance to other HR positions in the unit.
