Assistant Dean for Analytics, Technology and Security - Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies

Assistant Dean for Analytics, Technology and Security - Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies

Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) offers graduate programs in professional and liberal studies, more than 30 professional certificate programs, custom and corporate training and
education, summer school and special programs, and the University's only part-time bachelor's program. By pairing seasoned scholars and practitioners with innovative educational programming, SCS prepares
students with the skills needed to succeed in today's evolving business landscape.

The Assistant Dean of Analytics, Technology and Security serves as a key member of the Academic Operations department. This position is responsible for the administrative management of degree programs
which includes Applied Intelligence, Cybersecurity Risk Management, Emergency and Disaster Management, Systems Engineering Management, and Technology Management.

The Assistant Dean job requirements include but are not limited to:
  • Support the strategic direction of the programmatic team which involves oversight in communications, academic policy knowledge and implementation, student advising, course scheduling, and enrollment management.
  • Provide oversight and support in the design of international travel and logistics strategies for programs in collaboration with program leaders.
  • Manage programmatic budgets which includes oversight in course development, events, and other programmatic fiscal requests.
  • Provide clear management support for the daily functioning of the team which includes but is not limited to goal establishment, project management, lines of communication, meeting structure, and team initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Understanding of academic policies and procedures
  • Experience with advising students in multiple modalities
  • Experience building administrative and logistical infrastructures for international travel
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong managerial ability
  • A sense of humor and an interest in building community across programs within SCS
  • Fluency in all Microsoft office products
