Anticipated Starting Date: 10/14/2019
Starting Salary: $17.53 per Hour

JOB SUMMARY
The Annual Giving Assistant is responsible for implementing annual giving strategies for the NMC Foundation in the most efficient and effective way. While this position will primarily focus on the Annual Fund, it will also implement and execute other annual fundraising and communications efforts including prospect and donor engagement, solicitation, and stewardship.
This position works in a collaborative environment dedicated to advancing the mission of Northwestern Michigan College and the NMC Foundation through building positive and meaningful relationships with co-workers and constituents. This position requires the ability to prioritize and take on new tasks in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This position reports to and works directly with the Director of Annual Giving on a regular basis.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Required:
- High School diploma or GED with some additional college coursework
- 2 years’ of demonstrated written communication experience (letters, newsletters, mail merges, etc.)
- Database experience with the ability to navigate independently
- Evidence of organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- Experience with content development (graphic design, web, PR, communications, or marketing materials)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Microsoft office suite (Excel & Word)
Preferred:
- At least 1 year experience in project planning
- Project management experience
- Associate's degree

This is a full-time, temporary (2 year campaign), 40 hour per week position.
