Pay Rate: $9.50 to $10.93 per hour, commensurate with experience

St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.
Our Child Development Center is continuously seeking qualified individuals to serve as an integral part of our team on an as needed basis. This posting is designed to build a pool of potential Child Development Associate Substitutes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Cook duties:
- Prepares and cooks food appropriately for feeding young children with consideration to prevent choking or other safety hazards.
- Washes and sterilizes dishes, pots, and pans daily after meals; cleans refrigerator, stove, bins, cupboards, and counters according to designated schedule. Sweeps and mops kitchen floor on a daily basis.
- Office duties:
- Answers phones in a professional manner
- Works with staff and administration as a cohesive and effective team
Qualifications: One college class in an early childhood related field or equivalent required or 6 months of child care experience. Must be at least eighteen years of age.
