Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (Part-time) - 501818


Responsible for assisting in directing the strength and conditioning of basketball and other sports as assigned.


  • Assist in the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for basketball as well as other sports as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of all data accumulated with student athletes
  • Assist with the general cleaning and upkeep of the Strength and Conditioning weight rooms
  • Comply with NCAA, conference, and University of Richmond regulations


  • Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.
  • General understanding of exercise technique
  • Immense desire to learn, improve, and expand as a Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • Strong ability to manage ones time and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage their own projects.
  • Dependability to be on time, follow instructions, and respond properly to instructions.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required/Master preferred of related field
  • Certification by CSCCa, NSCA and/or Certified International Organizations accrediting body.
  • Capability to perform demonstrations of exercises to student athletes
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • At least one year previous Strength and Conditioning coaching experience.


  • Part-time, non-exempt position
  • Exact schedule to be determined, approximately 13-15 hrs/week; less than 1,000 hrs/year.

Pay Grade 3 (Hiring Range $14.43 to $17.36 per hour)
