Description

  • AssistsDirector of Operations and Maintenance for FM with typing, editing and revisinga variety of documents and materials. Proofread for grammatical and basiccontent errors. Converts rough copy and drafts to final version qualityreports. Attend meetings as directed by Director of OM.

 
  • Workswith various levels of Facilities’ administration to coordinate, assign andensure work requirements are being completed in a timely manner. Involved inauditing the asset management inventory of shops material and track keyassignments.

 
  • Supportsoffice by using automated equipment such as networked computers and printers,copy equipment, voice, and electronic mail systems. Assists with reports andspecial projects. Maintains and keeps current the operational manuals, such asbut not limited to COOP, Stormwater management, and other FM emergencyprocedures.

 
  • Answerphone calls, emails and voice messages from campus. Review theworkcontrol@towson.edu mailbox routinely throughout the day. Coordinates workrequested by other departments through the work control phases by processingvarious types of work orders.

 
  • UtilizesMaintenance Connection (MC) to process the various types of work orders and runspecialized work order reports for Director of OM. Collect and prepareinformation to input into dashboard collection for external review of workorder activities.

 
  • Assistsin preparing and reviewing department budget by updating information andassisting with running reports.

  • Serveas backup to other financial transaction employees or work control staff whenpositions are vacant or absent. 

 
  • Performsthe other duties as assigned i.e., initiating departmental purchases (i.e.supplies, parking passes for vendors).




Qualifications

  • HighSchool diploma or equivalent and three years of experience providingadministrative support.

  • Abilityto communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Strongcustomer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experiencedrafting correspondence with the ability to add enhanced presentation effects.

  • Proficiencyin Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Abilityto work independently.

 Preference
  • Experiencein a Facilities Management environment.

 Except for qualifications established by law, additional relatedexperience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills,and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may besubstituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-yearbasis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. 

 A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hiredcandidate and the results may impact employment.
