Job Details
Stetson University is a private liberal arts university located in DeLand, FL. There are 3,200 undergraduate students on our campus, of which 450+ are student-athletes. We are a Division I member of the Atlantic Sun Conference for 15 varsity sports, a member of the Pioneer Football League for non-scholarship football, and a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for women’s rowing.
The Stetson Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer coverage duties will include with indoor volleyball and beach volleyball teams. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who is able to work well independently, while coordinating with fellow staff members to provide appropriate medical care for all student-athletes. This is a salaried full-time 12-month position and a comprehensive benefits package is provided. Additional income is also available from summer camp medical coverage and other outside events.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide prevention, medical coverage, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for assigned athletic teams.
- Input of daily medical records
- Completion of appropriate insurance claims forms
- Other duties as assigned by the supervising Head Athletic Trainer or Associate Athletic Trainer
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Skills- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team oriented
- Good computer skills
- First Aid and CPR
- Candidates must have a degree from an accredited Athletic Training Education Program; Master’s degree and previous full-time experience in a collegiate setting are also preferred
- Possess National Certification by the BOC
- Eligible for licensure by the State of Florida
- First Aid and CPR certificates must be current
