Assistant/Associate Professor

Job description

Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering:  Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor (two positions) for its growing engineering programs to teach undergraduate and master’s level students; advise students; maintain an active research agenda and provide service to the department and university.  Appointments will begin Fall 2020.

Require:  Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely-related field by date of appointment.  ABDs may apply, but the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment.  To be appointed to the rank of associate professor requires an established record of high quality teaching and research.

Consideration may be given to candidates with research activities in: i) Robotics (human-robot interactions, kinematics and controls, learning, medical applications etc), and ii) Automation (sensors and instrumentation, networked multi-agent systems, manufacturing systems etc); teaching experience, industrial and/or post-doctoral appointments or a record of grant funding and scholarly publications.
