Job Description

Texas A&M-San Antonio invites applications for a one-year, renewable position of Lecturer in Political Science. The candidate will teach sophomore-level Federal Government and Texas Government, and upper-level courses in the individual’s area of specialization in political science. The lecturer position has a 4-4 workload and additional opportunities for summer teaching.

Required Qualifications:
• Ph.D. Degree or ABD in Political Science, or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Political Science or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• College or University teaching experience.
• Experience teaching online and hybrid formats.

Priority date for applications is March 15, 2020 with an anticipated start date of fall 2020. The position is open until filled. The Search Committee Chair must receive three original letters of recommendation as well as official transcripts from each degree-granting institution prior to issuing a letter of appointment. If transcripts are from an international institution, it is the responsibility of the applicant to have the transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved credential evaluator.
