The Department of Rehabilitation Psychology and Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position. Desirable candidates should be able to accept key responsibilities as the department seeks to (a) provide high quality teacher preparation, (b) provide exemplary graduate student training, and (c) pursue extramural funding to support distinguished research. Appointment start date will be August 17, 2020. Appointment will be full time for the nine-month academic year. Salary is competitive and contingent on experience and qualifications. Additional remuneration for summer session teaching is possible.Principal Duties:
Specific position responsibilities include:
1) Teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the department
2) Advise undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students
3) Participate in faculty governance and other service to the university, department and profession
4) Maintain an active research program and pursue extramural funding to support research

* Ph.D. required in Special Education or closely related field by August 17, 2020.
* Expertise in Special Education policy.
* Evidence of established scholarship with the potential for contributions of national significance
* Evidence of successful teaching experience at the university level (preferred)
* Evidence of pursuing extramural funding (preferred).
* Experience working with PK-12 students from nondominant cultural, linguistic, and economic communities (preferred)
* Commitment to inclusive education
* Expertise in equity and diversity (preferred)
* At least three years of professional experience working with students with disabilities (preferred)
