The Grants Compliance Analyst will be responsible for all activities associated with obtaining, administering, tracking, reconciling and reporting of federal, state, local, and private contracts/grants and other types of awards and agreements for an assigned portfolio of projects and/or group of researchers. This will include:

*Sponsored project post-award accounting activities such as reviewing project accounts, verifying transactions, collecting and preparing data for budget reconciliation, monthly project budget reconciliation, providing up-to-date detailed budget reports to the principal investigators (monthly), forecasting and re-budgeting as needed.

*Sponsored project post-award administrative activities such as preparing internal administrative requests for sponsored projects such as no-cost extensions, advances, sub-awards and similar. Monitoring project subcontracts, reports, cost-sharing, property, closeout and similar as needed.

*Sponsored project pre-award activities such as working with the CAPS faculty on proposal preparation, review and submission, including preparation of proposal budgets and other documents as needed. Preparing internal proposal documents and coordinating proposal submission with Sponsored Research Administration. Working with Sponsored Research Administration to receive and process awards, sending the required documents as needed/requested.

*Other duties as assigned.Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and one year of experience is required. (Note: a higher level of education may substitute for experience at the comparable rate.)

Proficient to advanced skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Knowledge of and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to interpret and apply University policies, procedures, principles and practices as well as related federal, state and local laws.Preferred University Accounting experience
Grants or contracts experience
CRA, CFRA or CPRA certification
MOS or MOS Expert certification
Experience with People Soft or OMNI
