Provides instructional math tutoring and assistance with basic concepts, specific problems, homework, and test preparation; instructs students in the most effective use of textbooks and instructional materials and provides encouragement and personal support.

Shift Specifics – 5 to 16 hours per week.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Minimum Education Required

Successful completion of MATH 1161/1441 (Calculus I) & MATH 2072/2242 (Calculus II) or equivalent courses with a grade of “B” or better; must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
