Infrastructure Systems Engineer Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201908085101 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $69,000 - $119,200 Position Information The Infrastructure Systems Engineer is a technical expert focused on the virtualized server infrastructure, system hardware, cloud systems, storage arrays, capacity management, firewalls, public key infrastructure, certificate management, security, disaster recovery/planning/simulation, re-engineering legacy systems for the cloud, rapid response to system anomalies, and related mission-critical systems efforts. The expertise provided will be dedicated to the library and its areas of specialization, and the integration of technology into future library innovation. Please note: the budgeted hiring range is up to $102,500. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Minimum Requirements Experience with complex troubleshooting in a multi-platform environment.
Demonstrated ability to develop moderately complex conversion and system implementation plans.
Demonstrated ability to interface with technical and non-technical management on a regular basis.
Ability to impart knowledge to technical and non-technical audiences and to influence outcomes to meet objectives.
Demonstrated ability to develop solutions for moderately complex business and systems/custom/ad-hoc solutions.
Experience researching and evaluating new technology and solutions for moderately complex environments.
Experience with planning for deployment and creation of feedback mechanisms.
Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs of the campus/medical center and how systems can support those needs.
Demonstrated ability to identify software and hardware interdependences in a moderately complex multi-platform environment.
Demonstrated ability to create software specifications.
Advanced skills associated with system integration design, modification, implementation and deployment in a moderately complex environment.
Knowledge of and experience with monitoring tools, performance, systems optimization, including intermediate knowledge of security for data, data transfers and systems.
Advanced knowledge of systems integration and deploying moderately complex systems integration solutions.
Experience developing and implementing moderately complex project plans.
Experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
Demonstrated experience managing and supporting on-premise and cloud infrastructure systems, storage area networks, storage arrays, web servers, firewall rule sets, backup systems, and disaster recovery plans in a regulated (FERPA, PCI, HIPAA) environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of VMware, Windows, Linux, Active Directory, backup/recovery tools, performance optimization, and networking (VLAN, DMZ, VPN, DHCP).
Demonstrated ability to support media server systems, write scripts, manage, learn/evaluate new technologies, maintain technical documentation, manage projects, perform to schedule, and adapt skillsets to evolving technology needs.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; self-motivated, driven, and a team player; ability to focus under pressure with changing priorities; ability to work in concert with the team's operating procedures; ability to adapt skillsets to meet the evolving technology needs of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience with AWS infrastructure, cloud migrations, Veeam, PKI and MS Certificate Authority, MS SQL, MySQL/MariaDB, cybersecurity risk assessments, security tools. Industry recognized, verifiable, and proctored technology certifications, such as VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSE/MCITP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP.
