Program Assistant Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 201908125282 Full Time 8AM - 5PM $41,885 - $59,383 Position Information The Program Assistant provides general administrative and logistical support in a fast-paced, dynamic office that delivers year-around academic programs for both domestic and international students and clientele. The Program Assistant works in close collaboration with a variety of academic and student service managers and personnel who have critical roles in the delivery of programs as well as the student experience. The Program Assistant responds to program inquiries; creates and maintains spreadsheets and related documents for tracking a variety of activities; performs data entry; maintains files, and assists in the coordination of internal business processes that support the functions of International Education Programs at UCR Extension.

Please note: The selection process for final candidates will include an Excel skills test. Minimum Requirements Two (2) years of full-time general office experience performing clerical duties in a complex, service oriented environment, performing detailed responsibilities

Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively and patiently in a multicultural environment; ability to effectively, professionally, and tactfully interact with students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners, and visitors.

Experience planning, implementing and coordinating logistical aspects of educational programs; experience interpreting policies and procedures.

Superior skill in attending to detail and proven organizational skills to plan, schedule, track, coordinate, and keep others informed

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills; accurate proofreading skills; ability to communicate knowledgeably and clearly with international students/clientele

Proven abilities in task-prioritization, time management and problem solving; ability to work effectively with multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads

Demonstrated word processing, spreadsheet, database, email and web experience, including extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite performing data entry, creating and entering data into spreadsheets, templates, and reports

Demonstrated track record of creating remarkable client care experiences, including skill in identifying the client's perspective and maintaining a commitment to excellence in service; ability to listen, anticipate, and respond to the needs of clients to achieve excellent service

Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative working relationships with academic and staff personnel at all levels Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree

Work experience in an educational institution at the post-secondary level

Experience working in an environment requiring sensitivity to and communication with a variety of international cultures

Experience with Destiny One and Salesforce software platforms and/or UC/UCR systems such as eBuy and iTravel
