Under limited supervision, maintains and follows a safe, productive, cost effective, and comprehensive planned and corrective maintenance program for constant reliable operations relating to all carpentry needs with in assigned buildings by receiving work orders; communicating with the Call Center and the supervisor; planning, inspecting, verifying, communicating, and problem solving assigned carpentry issues; and ensuring that all carpentry-related facility systems are in safe working order and compliant with national and local codes and regulations while exhibiting professionalism in conduct, appearance, and work practices.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
High School diploma and 5 years directly related trade experience.
Experience in the carpentry trades area with knowledge of national and local code requirements. South Carolina drivers license.
Position may require working after normal business hours, holidays and during inclement weather
Licenses and certifications related to the general maintenance field preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to work within established resources. Ability to communicate in writing and orally to management. Ability to maintain accurate records relating to time, materials and services provided. Ability to operate computer systems is essential.
