Sterilization Technician

Job description

Position Summary

Sterilize dental instruments including instrument cassettes, bur blocks, endo file boxes, and handpieces. Track dental instruments through all phases of the cleaning and sterilization process by utlilizing scanning technology. Perform routine maintenance on a variety of dental equipment. Operate disinfection and sterilization equipment. Troubleshoot error messages, perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment. Maintain files and records and provide support to clinic office staff.


Required Education:High school diploma or equivalentRequired Experience:One year of related experience. Preferred Experience:Familiarity with dental instruments.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Central Sterile certification required.  Ability to operate basic office equipment. Ability to learn how to operate a variety of basic dental lab equipment. Ability to work in a fast paced and hectic environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Familiarity working with computers.
