The English Language Program (ELP), located on the campus of the University of North Florida, is a university-based intensive English program for international students. The central task of ELP instructors is to provide quality English language instruction to our students in different subject areas (reading/writing, listening/speaking, vocabulary, and grammar) and at different levels (beginning to advanced).
This is a part-time ELP position classified as OPS (Other Personnel Services).
Part-time instructors have an essential role in the program and perform the following functions.
•Prepare, teach, and evaluate class
•Attend faculty meetings
•Coordinate instruction with others within levels
•Develop materials and assessment tools
•Perform exit testing
Masters Degree in TESOL or a related field (for example Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, English, etc. plus at least 18 hours of TESOL methods classes)Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching English as a second language in higher education
Experience in teaching abroad
This position requires a background check. In
