Job Details
The purpose of this position is to maintain science laboratory and instructional facilities.
Subject to criminal background check. Salary begins at $33,155. Salary to commensurate with experience. Resume, cover letter, & unofficial transcript required in addition to application. NCTC hours are 8-5 Mon-Thurs & 8-12 Fridays. Summer hours are 7:30-5:30 Mon-Thurs & closed on Fridays.
Required EducationBachelor’s Degree in science related field.
Required Skills & Abilities•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Basic computer skills.
•Exhibition of respect and professionalism in a spirit of collegiality
•Microsoft Office proficient.
•Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences
•Ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
•2 years’ experience ordering chemicals for advanced science laboratories in the education arena
•2 years’ experience with acquisition and disposal of secured chemicals and biological specimen including microbial infectious disease organisms
•2 years teaching experience in advanced high school or college level labs
