Position Title: Data Entry Clerk Regular (PT)

Department: Registration and Advisement

Work hours (for hourly positions): Monday- Friday 10:00am- 3:00pm.

General Summary: Operates a computer to process data and verifies data for accuracy and completeness.

Job Specifications:

Experience in data entry which may be obtained through previous job related or educational training.

Education: A high school diploma and some clerical experience in the areas of typing, bookkeeping and filing.

Certifications/Licensures: N/A.

Skill Requirements: Ability to accurately file information. Must have some knowledge in operating general office equipment such as personal computers and related software or equivalent, telephones, faxes, and typewriters.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a general office environment. Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and oral instructions.

Job Duties:

  1. Using various codes, operates data entry equipment to add, delete, update, retrieve and verify data for College financial, academic and administrative operations; batches data for input; verifies data entry operations and makes necessary corrections.
  2. Assists in performing various clerical duties including typing, filing, copying and duties pertaining to student registrations and accounts.
  3. Assists in training part-time, temporary, work-study or newly hired employees.
  4. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances and are available here.
