The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a research university and academic health center that discovers, teaches and applies knowledge for the intellectual, cultural, social and economic benefit of Birmingham, the state and beyond. The Executive Director, Web & Marketing oversees the strategy for university-wide marketing initiatives and web presence.

In this position, you’ll manage web and marketing teams, represent central services by working with leadership in schools and colleges to create the most effective content systems, and serve on the Digital Strategy and Communications committee. You’ll also collaborate with central IT to vet and select vendors, platforms and services. We’ll also expect you to keep abreast of best practices in the field and remain up-to-date on current trends and new technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, IT, Social Science, Data Analytics or a related field and 10 years of related experience; work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
