Working closely with the Chief Diversity Officer and the Dean of Arts and Sciences, the Director of Diversity & Inclusion will serve as a liaison with Arts and Sciences and work collaboratively with a university team to implement institution –wide diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. The Director will serve as a member of the university’s D&I Leadership Council (school and administrative representatives) to prioritize D&I work from a university perspective. In addition, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion will coordinate education and training, lead university-wide diversity programming, and assist with faculty recruitment for Arts & Sciences.”

Required Qualifications

-Master’s degree in a relevant field or academic discipline such as higher education, student affairs, business).
-Significant and extensive professional and progressive leadership in diversity and inclusion work in a relevant field is required (typically over 7 years);
– Knowledge of best practices in leading institution-wide diversity and inclusion efforts.
– Significant and progressive leadership experience in higher education or a relevant field;
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, alumni, community and other diverse constituent groups;
-Demonstrated ability to function independently and in a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
-Strong interpersonal, and research skills,

Preferred Qualifications

-Strong technical and computer skills preferred (proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software).

Conditions of Employment:
