We are seeking multiple part-time assistant teachers (ECPS 1) to fill our 2019-2020 positions due to program expansion.Essential Duties SummaryRequired Qualifications
Successful candidate must have no less than 12 college quarter credits in early childhood education or higher (Associate degree in early childhood preferred). Current CDA is also acceptable.Preferred QualificationsPhysical DemandsSpecial Conditions for Eligibility
Upon offer of employment, must comply with State mandated ECEAP standards by obtaining/passing the following: a recent negative TB test; MMR immunization or proof of immunity; current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid cards; a current Food Handler’s Permit; an AIDS/HIV certificate; mandated CPS reporter training; and regular criminal background checks.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Hourly employees who qualify (work 350 hours in 12 consecutive months) are represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE).
If you are hired, you will need proof of identity, and documentation of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work.
Prior to a new hire, a background check including criminal record history will be conducted. Information from the background check will not necessarily preclude employment but will be considered in determining the applicant’s suitability and competence to perform in the position.
