Departmental Overview
Cal Men's Lacrosse was founded in 1964 and is a member of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association. It has prided itself on excelling in the classroom and on the field. Men's Lax is dedicated to continuing its long tradition of success and building into an even bigger and brighter program in the future. The Bears took home the WCLL title in spring 2018 and have attended the MCLA National Championship tournament for the past 3 consecutive seasons.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing a strong, cohesive defensive system.
  • Incorporating drills to ingrain the defensive principles.
  • Communicating clearly and succinctly both in group and individual settings.
  • Inspiring and motivating young men to maximize their potential every moment of every day.
  • Uploading and editing practice and game film for player and coaches' education.
  • Assisting with creation of scouting reports and game plans.

    Required Qualifications
  • Proven record of competitive lacrosse coaching experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with college-age athletes.
  • Knowledge of baseball coaching techniques/strategies.
  • Ability to establish appropriate and effective mentoring relationships with student-athletes.
  • A minimum of one-year coaching experience

    Salary & Benefits
    Compensation commensurate with experience.
    Not eligible for UC benefits plan.
