Job Purpose:

The Partnership Program Coordinator for The Stanford Fund (“TSF”) acts as one of the primary connections between the Office of Development and current Stanford undergraduates. They oversee an important part of our student engagement program by managing the distribution of alumni donations to over 120 Stanford student groups, and coordinating student volunteers to drive our donor stewardship efforts.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Engagement for The Stanford Fund, the Partnership Program Coordinator builds and maintains relationships with student leaders, creating a pipeline of potential alumni volunteers and donors. The ideal candidate for this position is an organized and detail oriented project manager, who also understands the importance of empathy and understanding in a student-facing role.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the Office of Student Affairs to oversee the distribution of donor funds to student groups.

  • Coordinate the production of donor acknowledgments, including student-written letters and postcards.

  • Recruit, hire, and train a team of student workers to review and process student-written materials and field student questions regarding funding.

  • Partner with key campus partners to coordinate student volunteers for donor stewardship activities and major campus events.

  • Plan and execute a series of small, student-facing events throughout the year.

  • Retrieve donor and prospect information, update records, and generate simple reports using Salesforce and Stanford's external relations database.

  • Lead informational workshops and lectures educating students about the importance of philanthropy.

  • Build a network of relevant contacts, and stay informed on current university initiatives and activities. This will include serving as liaison to the Office of Student Affairs and other student-facing departments.

  • Other duties may also be assigned

To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a wide range of people, including staff, students, and donors.

  • Strong public speaking abilities.

  • Experience managing either staff or volunteers

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of database systems, such as Microsoft Access.

  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage projects simultaneously.
