Human Resources Training Assistant - University Human Resources

The HR Training Assistant, reporting to the University Director of Learning and Organizational Development, provides administrative and programmatic support to the Learning and Development team in the development and implementation of Learning and Development initiatives, training programs and projects. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Provides administrative and clerical support and assists in coordinating logistics for training sessions, including course registration, preparing and maintaining materials, files and records, accounts payable.
  • Serves as a point of contact for Learning and Development answering routine questions.
  • Works closely with the Learning and Development Specialist and collaborates with other members of the Department of Human Resources.
  • Interacts with departments and individuals across the university to register for workshops, process invoices, order supplies, and in coordinating logistics of trainings and programs.
  • Performs other administrative duties as assigned, to include office coverage and back up to other administrative staff within Human Resources.

  • High school diploma
  • At least three years of practical experience providing a combination of customer and/or client service, administrative and clerical services, database management, event planning or project management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Experience or strong interest in learning and development, human resources, and/or higher education
