Position Responsibilities

The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time ranked faculty position to teach in the graduate programs post-baccalaureate Master of Science in Nursing Entry-Level (MSNEL) option beginning summer 2019. This program is designed for adult learners and includes evening and weekend classes. Rank, contract type, and salary are commensurate with education and experience.

Responsibilities: The selected candidate will have responsibilities teaching (classroom, online, and the clinical setting) and will engage in scholarship and service per University guidelines.

Applicants should demonstrate their love for teaching; be passionate about working with diverse colleagues, students, and populations; understand the importance of interprofessional education; and be committed to the scholarship of teaching. Situated in the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health with over 32 health profession programs, we have a fertile ground for teaching interprofessional practice. The nursing community at St. Catherine University is vibrant and dynamic with a commitment to educating nurses at each level to be excellent and reflective practitioners, fierce advocates for social justice, and visionary leaders who will improve the health care system.

Position Qualifications

Required qualifications:
Master’s degree in nursing required by the end of academic year 2019-2020; Doctoral degree in nursing preferred. The candidate must be eligibility for RN licensure in the State of Minnesota. Nursing experience in medical-surgical nursing is required; teaching pre-licensure students is preferred.
