Position Description:
Under the general supervision of the Department Manager, the incumbent serves as fund manager to assume responsibilities in fiscal management, personnel payroll management for faculty and staff. Fiscal management includes annual budget preparation, analysis of financial reports, reconciliation expenditure trends, monitoring expenses, cost projections, fiscal closing. Other fiscal duties include: Process purchase orders and reimbursements via Travel Express and accounts payable. Create and manage event/program budgets. Personnel/Payroll management for academic apprentice and staff personnel includes: hiring process (personnel forms and UC Path processing) and reviewing payroll and expense ledgers, pulling online reports from Cognos/CDW. Administrative duties include: Coordinating of special events, handling travel arrangements, preparing internal reports, maintaining equipment/property records. This position supervises and recruits student assistant and work study students and assist MSO with day to day operations.
