The Southern Oregon University, (SOU) Division of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Biology program invites applications for a full-time, annually renewable, benefits-eligible, 9 month faculty position (with the possibility of teaching in the summer) at the Instructor rank. This faculty member will be responsible for the biology sequence for non-majors that satisfies general education requirements. The primary instructional assignments will include, but are not limited to, lecture and laboratory classes in non-majors introductory biology as well as laboratory sections of human anatomy and physiology.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated mastery and implementation of current pedagogy in science and will be able to teach undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. Service to the campus and community is expected. Research is not required for advancement in this position.

Southern Oregon University is a public liberal arts institution of approximately 6,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate students.
