Under general supervision, the Postpartum RN identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results for a wide variety of patient populations. Directs and acts as a resource to other members of the nursing team. Promotes compliance and support for policies and standards. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and be able to work within a busy team environment. Nurses committed to professional development, quality improvement, and shared governance should apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
RN license issued by the State of California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
NRP certification.
Minimum one (1) year of Postpartum RN experience.
- BSN.
- Two (2+) or more years RN experience in Postpartum.
- RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Previous Charge RN, leadership and unit committee experience.
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
- Regional Perinatal Maternal Newborn Nursing Course completion.
- Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Selected candidate may be hired at the CNIII level pending review and approval by the Nurse Executive Council.
