Employees in this classification must be registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.

Position Summary

This is a new skilled nursing position that serves multiple 4-H camps organized for children of military personnel. Camp nurse assesses campers’ needs when presented. Provide appropriate treatment on a timely basis. Check campers’ forms for parental consent. If no medication or treatment is listed, call parents or others listed on the form for permission to treat. Call M.D if necessary. Send to ER or call 911 if needed. Call 911 if unable to carry to ER. Make sure all necessary forms completed and sent to the doctor or ER with the camper. Document treatment is given.
