Job Details
This position is responsible for on-site technical support for the Waddell theater for outside events as needed.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties require preparing the theater and surrounding spaces (e.g. dressing rooms) for the client. To include organizing/maintaining equipment; operating audio and visual equipment for the technical rehearsals, performances and presentations; and post show cleanup.
Minimum QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater (or specialized area such as lighting, sound or stage management, etc.) or a combination of education, training, and experience that proves proficiency in the field are required.
Preferred QualificationsA Master’s degree in Technical Theater (or specialized area such as lighting, sound or stage management, etc.) or a combination of education, training, and experience that proves proficiency in the field are required.
Ability to trouble shoot and perform routine maintenance of theater production equipment; design and execute artistic and technical support services for theater and musical events.
Knowledge and experience of theater terminology, design principles and practices, theater equipment/supplies.
Knowledge of:
Audio and lighting systems operations and maintenance.
Theater equipment maintenance and repair.
Safety requirements for personnel and equipment.
Electronic and audio principles used in theater productions.
Must have strong customer service and communication skills.
The selected candidate’s offer is contingent upon the successful completion of an extensive criminal background
