  • Under the direction of the Registrar, this position will serve on the Registrar Information Services Team performing tasks that support our data-integrity and reporting responsibilities. These include National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)/National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) updates & corrections and assisting with other projects as assigned.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reporting:
    • Handle all official reporting, corrections and manual updates for Rowan’s official enrollment, degree reporting, and verifications that take place through the NSC and NSLDS.
    • Track and resolves errors.
    • Address and respond to any audit and compliance issues.
    • Perform manual NSLDS updates related to retroactive withdrawals.
    • Internally report outstanding grades and outstanding attendance verification based on faculty data entry.
    • Work closely with Financial Aid to address errors affecting student loans as needed.
    • Research and entry of enrollment verifications.
    • Resolve social security number discrepancies.
    • Work closely with the Information Resources Team for technical assistance.
    • Responsible for NSC Degree Verify which includes attendance and degree verification and research of archived files.
  • Communication & Other Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the training and supervision of student workers.
    • Understand, implement, and properly communicate Registrar policy and process.
    • Understand and comply with University, Registrar, ADA, FERPA, and other rules and regulations that affect processing and service.
    • Coordinate with the appropriate units within the office as well as Financial Aid and IRT.
    • Like all members of the Office of the University Register, assist with other projects as needed.

Education Requirement:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of NSC and NSLDS procedures and reporting guidelines
  • Experience with the Ellucian/Banner Student Information System
  • Comfortable learning new skills and new technology quickly or independently and ease using electronic tools and reports
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully problem-solve and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in project-based work or in higher education administration
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to providing superior customer service
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
