Job Summary:

The Human Resources Consultant will facilitate organization widetraining such as New Employee Orientation, Customer Service, and Diversity, including the coordination of training events and speakers. The Consultant will counsel employees on professionaldevelopment, recruit and onboard forOSU-Tulsa and OSU-CHS. This person will coach and counsel managers andemployees on employee relations and performance management issues and policyinterpretations (to include FMLA, payroll, leave and attendance). Consultant will conduct exit interviews, review promotions and position reclassification requests,conducts benefits presentations, and approve payroll exceptions. Will also perform special projects as requested by supervisor.  As a strategic partner andprimary contact for assigned divisions, this position will collaborate withdepartments to learn and understand the needs/issues of the department andassist in developing solutions, plans, and strategies to solve them.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other relevant area
- At least five (5) years in employment, training, or other related area

This person should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong writing skills, strong project management skills, ability to multitask effectively, work independently, and make decisions in line with departmental goals and have excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred:
- Master's degree
- PHR/SPHR certification
- Experience in training
- Experience as a Human Resources Generalist
- Experience in higher education
