Description
The PT Research Assistant’s primary responsibilities will be to will aid the PI and project team in data collection and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of the collected data, requiring technical expertise in educational research methodology, for The College of Education’s Text to Talk Research Project. The incumbent will participate in research team and project team meetings, and may help in revising project materials and data collection based on outcome of the analyses. The Research Assistant will help conduct the Text to Talk study in prekindergarten classrooms in Philadelphia.  Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 months directly related experience in the fields of education research or similar field.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.   
Required Skills & Abilities:*Must have experience in assessing children and in performing educational or psychological research.  population of staff and young children.*Skills in educational or psychological research.*Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.*Experience in conducting child educational assessments.*Ability to travel to off-site locations that may not be accessible via public transportation.
