Program Coordinator - Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and administering programs for the Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership, Marian University’s graduate education department.The Program Coordinator will manage the recruitment & admissions process, in partnership with the graduate admissions office.Conduct interviews as needed for the Building Level Administrators Program, Masters in Educational Leadership Program, and future degree/certificate programs.The Coordinator will also serve as an advisor for students enrolled in the academy.Maintain academic records for students enrolled in the programs and post-graduation information for alumni.They will also assist in program implementation and curriculum development for faculty.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Create and update admission and program documents as needed Work with the Coordinator of Marketing to update the website and social media accounts as neededCoordinate and promote outreach and events for community and partner programs, Academy workshops, training sessions, and certificate programsMaintain academic records for students enrolled in the programs and post-graduation information for alumniPlan and conduct student orientations, learning events, and informational sessionsAssist in supervising student internship experiences Arrange student final defenses for capstone projects and thesesDetermine scheduling of coursesLiaison to the Registrar’s office for course catalog, schedules, room assignments, grades, etc.Assist in tracking program outcomes for accreditation and other reports
The ideal candidate will have:Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Marian UniversityMaster’s DegreeExperience working in K-12, higher education, or related field.K-12 leadership experience preferredStrong administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office ProductsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to be self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently with colleagues throughout the university and in the communityAbility to work a flexible schedule as needed; some evening and weekend availability will be required
