Position:
The College of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Finance beginning August 2020.

Qualifications:

PhD in Finance from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD applicants considered, but appointment will be at the Instructor rank and all degree requirements must be completed by February 1, 2021. Evidence of prior teaching performance will also be considered. Possess strong commitment to teaching, advising/mentoring students; show potential for strong research skills; and a willingness to pursue external funding opportunities. Professional certifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) will be helpful.

Responsibilities:

Faculty assigned an instructional workload of six (6) course units per academic year. Teach traditional and online format courses within the finance discipline at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Primary areas of interest for teaching and research should be Investments. Secondary areas may be primarily Financial Planning, but International Finance or Institutions may also be considered

College of Business and Economics:

The college is accredited by AACSB for both its business and accounting programs. It conducts undergraduate business programs with majors/concentrations in an array of business fields and offers a growing number of graduate programs. The college plays a prominent role in providing leadership to local/regional firms, governments, and non-profit organizations. The college also has affiliated business programs in other countries.
