Job Summary
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot local area networks, voice and data endpoints, cabling plants and communication rooms, analyze and fix network-related problems reported by users.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Activates network and telephone jacks, configuring network switches and analog voice gateways as needed.
2. Provides tier two support for network, telephony, and IP video infrastructures, which includes monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
3. Performs moves, adds, and changes of communication endpoints utilizing work order support system.
4. Assists network/telephony administrators and engineers in resolving complex voice and data communications issues within the enterprise network.
5. Maintains documentation of network and telephone jacks, endpoints, e911 locations, and inside and outside cable plants.
6. Maintains and increases technical knowledge through coursework, workshops, seminars, readings, and cross training with other team members. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications Two years of college or vocational/technical school in Information Technology, Computer Communications, or a related field and two years related experience. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Valid driver’s license required for traveling to offices located off the main campus.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the standard desktop operating systems
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or IT related field Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
