I. Summary of Position
TheBanquet Server provides excellent customer service and a fine diningexperience, using established protocols of food and beverage etiquette andservice standards cultivating positive customer service relations. The positionis expected to adhere to customer service relations standards, work rules,departmental policies and procedures and performance standards. The BanquetServer provides an excellent customer service and fine dining experience, usingestablished protocols of food and beverage etiquette and service standards, andto consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to allguests.

II. Essential Job Functions
  • Provide an excellent dining experience forguests, using interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and anticipation ofguest needs.
  • Provide a fine dining food and beverage service,using established protocols of food and beverage etiquette and servicestandards.
  • Ability to set-up and break down large functiondinner services and elaborate themed dinner programs, complete with food andbeverage settings and linen, both on and off-site.
  • Assists customers with specific dietaryrestrictions, and answer questions regarding food ingredients.
  • Complies with workplace safety, safe foodhandling and sanitation standards.
  • Follows RDE work rules, policies, procedures, andcore values.
  • Polishes silverware, stemware and plate-ware asneeded to ensure the table settings are impeccable.
  • Works with food runners to ensure proper guestsatisfaction.
  • Crumbs table as necessary
  • Follows Cardinal Café standard uniform policy andprojects a professional image.
  • Demonstrate respectful and professional behaviorby maintaining a positive work environment and interactions with co-workers,management, customers and visitors.
  • Supports other Hospitality and Auxiliaries unitsas requested.
Other duties asassigned.III. Qualifications
  • Musthave a minimum of two (2) year fine dining or catering experience within thelast two (2) years.
  • Must bewilling to work a flexible and varied schedule as assigned.
  • Hasoutstanding listening and communication skills with guests, peers andmanagement.
  • Understandingof Silver Service expectations and Principals
  • Committedto providing excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Able toplan ahead, prioritizing tasks and customer service needs.
  • Proventrack record of punctuality.
  • ABanquet Server must be able to provide own uniform items of black slacks, blackshoes with black socks. Uniform Shirtswill be provided
  • Demonstrateshelpfulness, and respectfulness, is approachable and team oriented, buildsstrong working relationships, diplomatic, and a positive work environment, isresponsible, honest, resolves conflicts appropriately, and is flexible.
  • Followswork directions as assigned by supervisors and managers
  • Subjectto wet floors, temperature extremes, excessive noises, and large commercialequipment. As an essential job function,worker is required to use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.

IV. Physical Requirements GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand for prolonged periods, reach, lift,bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items. Physical agility critical toperform essential job functions. Lift up to 25 lbs pounds must have manualdexterity. Ability to work around hot equipment (stoves, grills, ovens).
