Infant - Toddler Teacher Description/Job SummaryOverview of Position:

Supervise and monitor children at all times. Participate in scheduled team meetings, adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of children, work with special needs children and agencies. Understand and develop infant/ toddler development. Encourage exploration, experimentation, prepare weekly lessons consistent with the curriculum and work with an assistant and other support staff. Document and conduct screenings and assessments. conduct parent meetings. Maintain the safety and maintenance of classroom and playground. Monitor and document all incidents.

  • Ability to adjust to different levels within the classroom, including sitting on the floor.
  • Ability to maintain boundaries with families.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal skills.
Preferred Education
  • Bachelor Degree in ECE
  • First Aide/CPR
  • MSDE credential level 6
Required QualificationsMinimum Qualification:
  • Associates of Arts Degree n Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field
  • 18 credit hours in ECE and posses the infant/toddler certificate or course
  • One Year experience in childcare setting caring for infants and toddlers
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential considered
  • MSDA credential level 5
  • Lift at least 25 pounds
