The history department is seeking a one-year term faculty member for 2019-20 academic year in Global/Comparative history. This term faculty position would have a nine-course teaching load, consisting primarily of World Civilization survey courses. Depending on the candidates specialization and departmental needs, this load could include courses in an area specialty like Latin American or Chinese surveys. It may also include an upper division or graduate course offering.
Preferred qualifications are a Ph.D. with teaching experience, although MA and ABD candidates will be considered with significant university teaching experience. DePaul seeks candidates with demonstrated cultural competencies to include teaching, service and research in diverse learning communities.
