Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be working in Dr. Ryan Herringa's research lab, which is interested in identifying the neurodevelopmental mechanisms of resilience and affective disorders, as well as the effects of childhood trauma. The lab's research methods include neuroimaging, psychophysiology, and clinical interviewing.

The Research Assistant Coordinator will be responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, managing, and supervising undergraduate students who will be assisting with study visits with children, adolescent, and family research participants.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in psychology or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least 1 year of experience in personnel (student or staff) management/supervision preferred.

-Title prefix and salary will be dependent on relevant years of experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
-Experience and skills in supervision/management.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
-Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal forms with participants, students, faculty, researchers and staffs at all levels.
-Ability to positively contribute in a collaborative team environment.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
-Experience creating work schedules
-Experience in a human subjects research lab
-Experience working with adolescents and/or in mental health field
-Knowledge of REDCap and/or data management
-Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices
-Experience with data collection and data verification

This is a terminal position of 12 months and you will be required to serve an evaluation period. Then there is a possibility it would be extended up to a an appointment of two years, and potentially made renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment
